Bweza Gorilla Group is another recent splinter group. Th group broke off from the Nshongi family in 2012 led by Bweza, the silverback who decided to start off hisown family. After the breakoff, the UWA rangers suspected that the group would get back together again, but when it appeared that the split was infinitive, this ‘new’ group opened for tourism in December 2012.
Bweza is often reached by leaving the Rushaga ranger post on foot.
