The 2 Days Bwindi Gorilla Safari is a perfect short Gorilla tour for persons with limited time yet interested in trekking the amazing gorilla families in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Alternatively, the package is ideal for those who wish to trek gorillas in Uganda yet are not ready to go through the long drive (8-10 hours) from Kampala because this short safari start and ends in Kigali City, that is only 3-4 hours’ drive from Bwindi.

Day 1: Pick-up from a Hotel/Kigali International Airport for drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, South-western Uganda
Pick-up from Kigali International Airport Or any Hotel/Motel in Kigali after breakfast to embark on the 3-4 hours’ drive to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Before this scenic drive, undertake a short tour of the serene City where a number of exceptional tourist sites such as Kimironko Local Market, Caplaki Craft Village and genocide Memorial Center will be explored and this is followed by Lunch in one of the classic restaurants in Kigali to taste some of the country’s signature cuisines (if interested) or International cuisines on their Menu. Drive through the rolling hills of Rwanda and cross-over to Uganda through Katuna border (to Kabale-connecting to Buhoma or Ruhija sectors) or Cyanika border (Kisoro to connect to Nkuringo or Rushaga sectors) then arrive Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening. Check-in at the Lodge for cold bathe, delicious hot meal and overnight stay.

- Midrange: Bakiga Lodge, Lake Kitandara Bwindi Camp or Gorilla Valley Lodge.

Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (south-western Uganda) and drive back to Kigali
Be served breakfast at the Lodge and with your packed Lunch walk/drive to the Park Headquarters for a briefing on the gorilla trekking adventure. The Uganda Wildlife Authority Ranger/guide will take you through the expectations of the trek, dos and don’ts and be allocated to one of the gorilla families and please make known your personal interests while being assigned to the gorilla family. Reason being some gorilla families are more difficult while others are easier to trek and after move to the trailhead for the search for mountain gorillas in the jungles. Trekking takes 2-6 hours and is inclusive of the magical one hour for observing and photography of the mountain gorillas playing, swinging on tree branches, resting, foraging and other activities. Pick your trekking certificate at the Park Headquarters and be driven to the Lodge to freshen-up, have Lunch and check-out for a drive to Kigali City.
