Bwindi impenetrable national park is also a home to over 320 mountain gorillas where the gorilla permit costs only $600 per person in high seasons of Dec to March , June to October while the same gorilla permits cost $450 in the low season of April, May and November for foreign Non Residents . The park also has many wildlife species including; 130 mammals, 350 birds’ species for birding safari. The park lies in south-western Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. It was gazetted in 1991 and converse 1160m -2607 m above sea level. The word Bwindi means, dark it is the oldest Park which dates back over 25,000 years. Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Park
You will also start your journey after breakfast early in the morning, and then drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park for tracking, this journey is quite interesting with so much to see in the countryside and the beautiful hills that surround the area. A vehicle can be stopped at any time just in case you want to take photos. Have lunch in Mbarara. You will then arrive in the park late in the afternoon and check in at your lodge, you will also be able to hear the sounds of the birds and water flowing through the forest as you relax depending on the accommodation of your choice. Day 2 – Gorilla trekking in the rain Tropical Forest
You will wake up early in the morning and have your breakfast as you prepare to start your journey to greater experience.by 8:00, you will report to the headquarters for a briefing by the rangers as well as registration. The guides will then lead you to track the gorillas through the bush pushing your way through the undergrowth and the thick creepers. And when the gorillas are sighted, the visitors will be guided to within 6 meters of them and you will have a chance to sit around these great apes for a whole hour looking into their big eyes. These big giants are also powerful and can sometimes weigh over 250 kilograms. The visitors also require a reasonable degree of fitness as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes, since the trek can take from half an hour to 6 hours depending on the movement of these lovely primates.
