The answer is, it’s very possible, however gorilla tracking depends on tourist’s interest and times he/she is interested to visit these apes. Double gorilla tracking means that you can track in two gorilla families to get more experience, each gorilla family has its own experience according to those who have got chance to track in each gorilla family, although gorilla tracking process remains the same.
Uganda is one of the three countries in the world to inhabit the endangered mountain gorillas and its known as the best gorilla trekking safari destination in the world housing the highest percentage of these apes, over 480 species out of about 900 remaining apes live in Uganda only. The majority of these apes live in Bwindi impenetrable national park and the rest live in Mgahinga gorilla forest national park. Bwindi impenetrable national park has 11 habituated gorilla families which are ready to receive visitors every day and 2 gorilla families are for research only. In each gorilla family only 8 members are allowed to visit these apes per session which means that over 88 people are supposed to meet these apes every day at the park.
Uganda gorilla permits are sold at usd$600 during the high season and at low season during the month of April, May and September permits are sold at a discounted rate at a fee of usd$ 400.
