This UNESCO World Heritage Site has four sectors (Rushaga, Buhoma, Nkuringo and Ruhija) where gorillas are tracked from and is also a haven to over 120 mammal species, 350 bird species, 200 butterfly species, 324 tree species, species of reptiles and many other interesting attractions worth exploring during a safari.

Because Bwindi is about 3-4 hors’ drive from Kigali City, you will be up by 3:00am and have breakfast so that by 3:30am your journey starts. The road will be quiet with few vehicles thus smooth ride and on reaching Bwindi, assemble at the Park Headquarters for briefing on the guidelines of trekking and spending time with the mountain gorillas. Cross-over through Cyanika or Katuna border point to any of the four sectors of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Briefing is followed by allocation into a gorilla family, of which you will start the trek through the jungles lasting 2-6 hours depending on the movement/location of the assigned gorilla family and this time also includes the one hour of observation and photography. Descend to the Park Headquarters to be awarded your trekking certificate and transferred to one of the Safari Lodges for sumptuous Lunch and short relaxation. Get back to Kigali City for departure flight or transfer to a preferred place of residence.
