When planning out there a gorilla trekking adventure, include walking on your menu; and carry with you your sturdiest walking shoes and clothes that you are happy to have get sweaty and muddy. Preferably, you should dress in thick pants and a long-sleeved shirt as protection against stinging nettles. Pack layers because it is often cold when you set out at 6am though warms as the sun rises. A pair of old gardening gloves might be helpful when gripping for hold on thorny vegetation, and if you feel safer with a walking-stick, pack a folding one. If you already own gaiters or walking sticks (or want a reason to buy them!) they are a great addition as well.
